Coach Carolyn has been around the water her entire life! She began swimming competitively at just 4 years old and continued through high school with Long Creek Swim Club and the YMCA. Along the way, she gained many years of experience teaching swim lessons, coaching, and lifeguarding.
Her passion for helping others led her to become a volunteer firefighter, EMT, and Registered Nurse. As the mom of two Barracuda swimmers, Aubrey and Addison, Carolyn has loved supporting the team over the past several years and is excited to now serve as Head Coach.
Coach Carolyn is passionate about helping swimmers build confidence in the water, improve their skills, and develop a lifelong love for the sport of swimming.
Coach Audrey is excited to be back coaching at Brookwood this summer! Audrey swam with TYDE for nine years and competed at the national level. She also has previous coaching experience with TYDE and has worked as a swim lesson instructor at both the YMCA and Brookwood Pool. Audrey is currently a student at UNC–Greensboro studying nursing, with plans to pursue a future career as a CRNA. Swimming has always been one of her favorite hobbies, and she’s looking forward to sharing that passion with the team.
Coach Rebecca discovered her love for swimming when she joined her local YMCA swim team in 7th grade. From there, she continued swimming competitively throughout all four years of high school while also participating in summer league swim teams each season.
Her primary event was breaststroke, both individually and as part of medley relays, but she was always willing to step up and swim whatever event the team needed - including the IM and 500 freestyle - as long as she got a chance to swim breaststroke too!
Rebecca brings a fun, encouraging, and team-focused attitude to the Junior Barracuda Program. As a Brookwood Pool member and mom of four swimmers on the team, she is excited to help young swimmers grow in confidence, improve their skills, and develop a love for the sport.
