Practice Policies
- Swimmers should be on time, on the pool deck and ready to swim at their designated practice time.
- Swimmers are expected to be respectful to coaches, other swimmers and volunteers. Swimmers must cooperate with coaches and allow fellow swimmers to participate without being distracting.
- Every Barracuda is a valuable member of our team. We will show kindness and respect for everyone's ability level.
- Practice is not mandatory – if you miss a practice, there’s no penalty. However, your swimmer will get as much as they put into it, so try to attend as much as possible!
- During practice, we ask that parents please allow the coaches to coach and limit questions until after practice is over. Safety is very important, and we need their eyes on the pool!
- Communication will be sent in the event of weather related cancellations, especially via the Swimtopia Mobile App. There will be times when practice will start only to be canceled for a variety of reasons, including thunder, lightning, water contamination, etc. If it is raining, without thunder or lightning, practice will likely be held.
- If the practice is in session and weather turns bad, we will need to clear the deck per our pool policy. Please stay close or make arraignments to pick up your child in case we have to cancel.
